here is the power supply in case you want to see it, it says it is a fdd connecter, when i unpulugged that connector and plugged the pc back in it did the rgb flash again btw

you plugging in a connector from a power supply to a fan header (very bad) shows that you most likely have beginner computer hardware skills, and while there is nothing wrong with that as it's where everyone begins i recommend you take the time to read up/watch other people doing basic hardware upgrades/board swaps

the fan header on your motherboard supplies +5/+12 volts OUT

the floppy connector on your power supply supplies +5/+12 OUT

connecting two OUTPUTS to each other is not what you want to be doing a each device is attempting to power the other

all i can do is suggest you take the system to a repair shop or to a computer user group and have them inspect it

Ok, thank you for your time

one last thing i would not recommend using that power supply as it is not a quality power supply by most reviews

buying a supply from  a major vendor like seasonic/corsair/antec will get you a quality supply i personally would not use a lowend 550 watt supply that only costs 40.00

HP Recommended

Oh, ok I may buy a 600w evga so I can make some bigger upgrades in the future.

HP Recommended

a 600/650 watt supply is all you need unless you are running a video card that draws more than 215 watts like a nvidia 2070

if using a 2070/2080 650 watts is recommended in most cases

EVGA, while not a power supply maker (they buy and relabel) is a major vendor and will not knowingly sell bad hardware, however you should still read reviews on ANY hardware product you want to buy

Super Flower Computer Inc. is a Taiwanese firm that currently makes many of EVGA's power supplies however this can change at any time

Is it also a v2 motherboard? Do you know how to tell? It is all here in the fourm... use the search bar above. Since you can't even get into BIOS you'll need to look at the motherboard's bar code label for that... and cross reference the xxxxxx-xxx number on the right-hand side of that label to the info in the forum. Ignore the left side numbers.

Anthony,

Is it also a v2 motherboard?  Do you know how to tell?  It is all here in the fourm... use the search bar above.  Since you can't even get into BIOS you'll need to look at the motherboard's bar code label for that... and cross reference the xxxxxx-xxx number on the right-hand side of that label to the info in the forum.  Ignore the left side numbers."

I agree with myself...
