Need TPM 2.0 Firmware Update (sp76209.exe) for HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Tower

Hello,

I’m currently using an HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Tower PC (Product Number: L1G77AV) and have already updated the BIOS to the latest version (2.60, dated 12/15/2022).

I’m now trying to upgrade the TPM from version 1.2 to 2.0, but unfortunately, the TPM firmware update utility that used to be available (sp76209.exe) is no longer listed on the HP support site. I’ve checked related security bulletins and drivers, but all the links either redirect or give a 404 error.

Could someone from HP kindly provide:

1. A working official download link for the TPM 2.0 firmware update utility for this model, or

2. Any guidance on how I can officially obtain this file?

I need TPM 2.0 for compatibility with newer software/security standards. Any help from the community or HP team would be greatly appreciated.

SP76209 is obsolete, the updated SP is  (New TPM updater) SP87753

this updater should work if your system has the  SLB9670 TPM Chip

The instructions to for how to update the TPM firmware to 2.0 can be found within the sp87753 folder after you run the file and go to the location where the file unpacks to C:\SWSetup\sp87753.

I have also attached the instructions from that file, below.
