Unknown Issue

There is no start button, no system tray icon and the desktop background is black. I cannot access these. How can I fix this issues.

try these fixes:

go to the task manager with ctrl+alt+esc and go to file go to "run new task" then type explorer.exe

1. Open task manager. (with ctrl+alt+esc)

2. Open processes tab

3. Scroll to section "Windows processes" and look for "Shell Infrastructure Host"

4. End this task. It auto restarts normally. If not then execute "sihost.exe" through "task manager" > "run new task" to start the process.

5. desktop, icons, taskbar etc should reappear and normal background screen should be visible
