Hi to all. Whe are doing a upgrade in some RP5700 to Core2Duo E7400. But as read, this PC/board can work with any 1066Mhz processors. So, can I use Core2Quad versions on it (like Q6600)?

Thanks a lot

I personally would simply replace the system with a used one that's faster

with used systems so cheap on ebay nowadays it's no longer worthwhile to mod a cpu but if you like the challange

you can try to pad mod the e84xx cpu to run at 1066 instead of 1333

however once you do this the cpu now runs slower, so you would also have to change the multiplyer the same way to a higher value

i did this some years ago on a think pad that was obselete, but i loved the keyboard/screen and still used it as a web/mail

computer that i could take to the beach and not cry if lost or damaged

anyway here's a link:

We have installed the rp57's & 58's in one of our clients with win7 OS, now I need to know what is the correct way to upgrade them to Win10 64bit upgrading memory to 8GB and processor.
