HP Z840 Base Model Workstation

Hello everybody. As per the title, keyboard and mouse (and all USBs and input devices) are working OK in the BIOS environment but as soon as Windows starts, all input devices are dead.

I have tried CMOS reset but it will not work.

My BIOS bversion is 2.62

Can you help me please? This is very frustrating! Thanks!

What i did was to disable xHCI in BIOS, rebooted and now it works!

Which means i downgraded from USB3 to USB2...

Thn back to BIOS and i enabled xHCI again. It works OK.... weird..

if it works in the bios but not windows then you have a OS or OS driver related issue

is your kbd/mouse ps2 usb or wireless?
