ZBook Fury 17" G8 upgradeable?

Hi!

What can I upgrade on this device?

I only found to upgrtade to 128GB RAM and 2TM M2.

Is it possible to upgrade more than this or not?

Is there any iso file for downloading cause this erreors are still after every newinstallation. Sorry I forgot to tell you that I bought a used one.

Hello klaus4.

This workstation is a complicated machine. Manual for this system has been pulled from HP servers (no idea why). You can take a look at it (courtesy of Wayback Machine's captures) here. The system can be configured with 4 RAM modules, up to 4 SSDs or 2 SSDs and an HDD or 2.5" SSD. RAM modules 1&3 are seen on p.61, modules 2&4 on p.55, SSD1 p.64, SSD2 p.52, SSD3&4 p.46 and the 2.5" HDD layout can be seen on p.48. SSDs 3&4 can be installed with an appropriate adapter instead of the HDD, so it's one or the other. Laptopmedia's review of the identical 15 inch Fury G8 mentions that the adapter is in the box, and has a disassembly video. However users here have reported that the adapter is actually NOT INCLUDED. Therefore, there are a lot of different setups you can have on this workstation. With the 4 RAM modules you can have 128GB of non-ECC or even ECC memory. Unfortunately DDR4 modules of 48GB or 64GB do not exist and -as far as I know- no plans exist to manufacture them. You have to own a DDR5 machine to get these kinds of capacities on a single module. When it comes to storage, 4 PCIe drives of any capacity you wish can be used, or 2 PCIe SSDs and a 2.5" SSD.

I'm not sure what the message you posted says or what kind of ISO exactly you mean. You can use the cloud recovery tool to reinstall an HP image of WIndows 10 or 11 for this system: HP Cloud Recovery Supported Platforms.

Does this mean I can upgrade to 128GB Ram and a 2TB SSD non M2? And have there models released without microphones?

Cause mine was marked without inside microphone but with webcam.

I think this driverissues are because I have an 2016 HP Omen? And the system is trying to load old driver via OTA?

Yes, 4 modules can take you up to 128GBs. I doubt you will ever need more. You can use an old fashioned HDD-shaped SSD with any capacity you want -or your budget allows. Page 1 of the Quickspecs given above mentions microphone is optional, so it's possible yours didn't have one.

As I mentioned earlier, I don't understand the error messages. However I doubt your owning a 2016 Omen has anything to do with this....

Thanks for your answer. These are driver issues, most are solved by Driverbooster 13 now. Upgrading the laptop with a microphone is not possible? And if its possible do you have a partsnumber? Maybe thats the last driver error I have.

According to the manual I linked to above -and if I understand it correctly- part of the microphone is in the Ambient Light sensor and part of it in the camera (probably why it's mentioned as a dual-array). You can see part numbers on p.28. Replacing a laptop's built in camera or mic or adding these is not the easiest task in the world. Disassembly of the display is necessary.

You said your system was "marked" without inside microphone. What kind of mark are you talking about? It's possible the microphone is just malfunctioning or the cable that connects it needs to be replaced. Part numbers for all these items are in the manual, but the actual work it takes to fix these things is not worth the trouble (or money)......

Hi!

Unfortunately I don't. Nor is it in any HP docs. HP's technicians at the HP Authorized Service Centers don't work on the individual electronics on motherboards, so I doubt this is distributed even to them. It's more than likely that these "confidential" blueprints are given only to personnel that has to repair motherboards when replaced within warranty, so that they can be reused. Some sites on the internet claim to have such diagrams and are willing to offer them -with or without a fee- but from what I've seen so far they are usually scams.

I don't see how this is needed for any of the issues you're having....
