Product: hp proliant DL 380 G6
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP

i just got a new HP Proliant DL 380G6 to use on a cisco switch small Business managed SRW2048  but there is no  connection  LAN between the divices

HP split into two companies several years ago.

 

HP supports PC''s printers, tablets and calculators.

 

HP Enterprise (HPE) supports servers, switches, routers and enterprise storage devices.

many switches require a "CROSSOVER" type ethernet cable rather than a straight through cable

 

also the switch you bought is not a normal consumer type unit you will/must read it's manual in order to use it's many features or to configure it
