is there a way to update the tpm module on the hp probooks? i have 4 of them all different models 6570b,6470b,6460b and 6465b they all have win10 and soon i will need win11 but in the update and security section they all say not win11 compatible.
i have seen dozens of YT talking of just doing a workaround with the win11 iso i have that now on a pc but i do not trust that i'm getting the security updates.
anyway i did the win+r buttons and got the trusted platform module app to show and it seems to say
i have the status as the tpm is ready for use
and available options are
you may clear the tpm to remove ownership and reset the tpm to factory defaults
and tpm manufacturer info
manufacture name ifx manufacture ver. 3.19 specs. ver. 1.2
so is it possible to update the driver for this module? i looked on the motherboard and i do not see any tpm module or anything labeled as one. for these 4 laptops. i went to the ifx website and did not see anything that gave me driver updates.
so does anyone happen to know if hp had a physical tmp module on the motherboards for these laptops? or if that driver is built into the ecu and the driver can be updated?
or might i be able to go into the bios settings and turn all the admin off and reset it so it will be able to do a driver update? when i click the computer management tab i get tons of admin blocked items turned on and if i click them it looks like i can change the selection but i do now want to mess with this if it will monkey up the works.
thanks

Hi:
Unfortunately, that would not be possible and even if your notebooks had TPM 2.0 modules they do not meet other of Microsoft's W11 hardware requirements such as not supporting secure boot and not having processors supported for W11.
If you are interested in installing W11 on your PC as is, you can read this discussion for how I upgraded several HP and Dell notebook and desktop PC's that did not meet the W11 hardware requirements to W11 22H2.

If the in-place upgrade fails, you should be able to clean install W11 using the bootable W11 installation flash drive you made with Rufus.

you may still want to patch your v1.2 TPM to the latest which secures some known vulnerabilities
the link below cover HP TPM updates for both 1.2/2.0 for laptops/desktops
