Hi,
i have a HP z240 running Ubuntu 18.10
flashed the newest BIOS before Installation (01.76 Rev.A)
Now i want to activate Intel ME (enable AMT in F10 Bios Setup), but all i get at Boot is
"Boot up problem: 'Soft Temporary Disable. To Enable ME, check Active Management (AMT) option in F10 Setup"
when i press CTRL-P at boot nothing happened.
I have reset the BIOS to default Settings, cleared it with the "Clear Button" - nothing changed
I have read on the support Page that there is a known Problem with older Intel ME Firmware like
"Version:11.8.60.3561 Rev.A
- Resolves an issue with Intel ME becoming non-functional after a FW update.
- Resolves AMT provisioning issues."
So i try to flash a new Firmware, but that is not possible, because Firmware flashing needs running Intel ME ..
Tried to Downgrade the BIOS to (1.67 Rev.A) does not change the situation - unable to flash and unable to activate
so i think i need your help, thanks
