Product: HP Z440 Workstation
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Workstation is less than  year old.  I boot up after a weekend shutdown.  Hit power button, fan turns on, then dies down, cusror in upper left of screen.  Takes multiple time of pressing power button to start.  One time it froze on spinning dot screen.

HP Z Workstation usually carry a 3 yr warranty. i would suggest you open a case with HP Support

can you enter the bios? if so as a quick test, create a bootable usb key  (or a CD/DVD if the system supports it) insert the key or disk and power on,.. if it boots from the key/disk the existing boot hard drive/ssd most likely has a problem

 

you don't mention any beeping so i'm guessing the video/ram/cpu are passing the self check and it's only failing the final boot process where the OS starts to load
