The video bridges seem to continue auto extending the call even when the majority of the endpoints are disconnected.  Shouldn't it timeout after a certain amount of time? Would setting ENABLE_AUTO_EXTENSION to equal NO, instead of its current setting of YES help?

Joe,

The ENABLE_AUTO_EXTENSION flag, when set to yes, will cause the bridge to auto extend any conference with any connected participants. So the behavior you are seeing is normal. If you set that flag to NO, then the confereces will end at their normal times unless manually extended.

Thank you!

The main issue with enabling ENABLE_AUTO_EXTENSION flag to yes is, if the session has only one site still connected it will run for a duration of 168 hours and you cannot change the extend time as you would say in a MGC 100. Not handy if you are recording a session on a Friday and turn on to work on a Monday to see the session still running or you are still connected to that oversea client.

We have raised this issue with Asia/Pacific Polycom and the response from them is the feature works correctly.  Yes the feature does work correctly but honestly why would you auto extend a conference for 168 hours, it is laughable and  I would argue that it is a poorly designed feature and it need to be resolved in the RMX update not a feature request that they ask for us to submit.
