@ Paul_Tikkanen
Its with regret I have to iform you that SP 73093.exe didn't work our for me.It did install properly. However, every 5 minutes of so, there would be a drop in the Internet signal . When I did troubleshoot problems,I got the error " Default Gateway not available " The moment I would leave the troubleshoot window, my internet would be restored. This error has been coming off and on, only after installing SP 73093.exe. Please read my reply to Old_geekster on how I resolved this issue.
Thank you.

@Old_geekster
I have already highlighted how my system maintained that SP 57965.exe was already installed in my computer. Any effort to overwite on this bore no results at all.
System Restore failed.System Restore even failed to bring back my earlier driver with driver version 5.100.82.82 [ which corresponds to SP57434.exe ]
So I was stuck with SP 73093.exe and the regular drop in internet connection/ time out
So what I did is the following :
A. I went to C Drive SWSetup and deleted SP 57965.exe. Since I had already download SP 57965.exe as per the link provided by you, I ran and installed it.
B.I am on the Computer for more than one hour and there has been no instance of disconnection or drop in internet connection after this installation.
C. The Device Manager now says that my driver version is 5.100.82.139 corresponding to SP 57965.exe. and not 5.100.82.82 which it has been showing all these years.
D. So finally what have I got ? SP 57965.exe with driver version 5.100.82.139 as intended.
Thank you for all the trouble you have taken to help me.
With Regards.
Mandira

Hi:
Sorry to learn that the latest driver didn't work right for you, but I'm glad you were able to get 5.100.82.139 to install.
You should unmark my reply as the solution and mark the Old_Geekster's reply as the solution, since the newer driver didn't work for you.
You can do that by clicking on the 3 black dots on the right side of my reply to open a drop down menu, and select 'Not the Solution', and then you will be able to mark the Old_Geekster's reply as the solution.
