If you have thin clients in multiple locations and want each geographical office to have their own HP Device Manager installed to manage them locally, do you need to modify the conifugration of the Thin Client to point it toward a specific server, or will it automatically find the HPDM on the local VLAN?

Hi

If you are planning to setup a seperate HPDM server at each location, you also need to install the HPDM gateway and configure it to HPDM IP address. This should help the clients find the HPDM server in same network.

Another way to use use DHCP tag 202 which will help the clients find the HPDM server.

refer white paper regarding the DHCP tag
