Product Name: Laserjet 4050 tn
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

When I connect the ethernet cable to the printer ethernet port (Jetdirect 615n) no lights come on. Printer can't be seen by computer network. Advice I've seen says to edit the EIO menu and edit the configuration. But the EIO option does not show up in the onboard menu. Also, when I print a config page, in the EIO slot, it says "empty."

I've tried a new cable. I tried heating up the Jetdirect card with no luck.

Does anyone know if I should see the EIO menu on the printer?

Is my Jetdirect card just bad?

Will a Jetdirect 620 work in this old printer or do I need a 610?

Thanks for any help!
