In this week's informative featured post, Knute, helps a member determine what might be causing the fan on his laptop to run more often, which will eventually lead to overheating.  Knute linked to an HP support document that, in addition to having some excellent photographs (who knew all that great stuff lived inside my computer?), helps to reduce heat and fan noise by top20_2010-01-07.JPGassisting in cleaning the air vents of dust and lint buildup.

  

Thank you for your help on this issue, Knute.  If only I'd seen a post like yours three years ago; I could have rescued my poor notebook from my loveable furkids!
