Think You’ve Encountered a Fake HP Scammer?
Act Fast With These Steps:

  1. Contact HP Support Directly
Report the scam to HP using their official support channels or drop us a message here.
This helps HP track and warn others about ongoing scams and ensures you get genuine support.

  2. Notify Your Bank or Credit Card Provider
If you shared payment or card details, immediately inform your bank or card company.
They can help block fraudulent transactions and prevent unauthorized charges.

  3. File an Official Report
Depending on your country, contact local authorities or cybercrime agencies to report the scam.
For those in the United States, you can file a complaint with the FTC.

  4. Strengthen Your Online Security
Change passwords for any accounts that could be affected, especially if you shared login information.
Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) to enhance your protection.

  5. Monitor Your Financial Accounts Closely
Check your bank and credit card statements regularly for suspicious or unauthorized activity and report any issues without delay.

  6. Stay Informed, Be Scam-Savvy
Learn how to recognize phishing attempts and fake support contacts.
Visit official HP resources and read up on scam prevention to protect yourself in the future.

Always verify HP communications, never share sensitive info or make payments unless you’re certain you’re dealing with official HP support. Use only trusted HP websites and phone numbers when seeking help.
