A regional reset is a process that helps HP printers adjust to the settings and regulations of a specific geographic location/region.
When is it needed?
- if you've purchased the printer in one region and moved to another, you'll need to reset your device to the new region before you can use the cartridges from the new region.
Why is it needed?
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Printers must comply with local regulations and standards, such as energy efficiency requirements, electromagnetic compatibility, and safety standards. A regional reset ensures the printer meets these regional regulations.
- Optimal Performance:
- By resetting the printer to the local region, it can operate efficiently and effectively, providing the best possible printing experience with the cartridges purchased in the new region.
What happens after a regional reset?
- The printer's settings are updated to comply with regional regulations and standards.
- The printer operates optimally, providing reliable and high-quality printing with the new region's cartridges.
- By performing a regional reset, you can ensure your HP printer works correctly and efficiently in its new location.
Who can help you with the regional reset codes?
- Any HP support agent, simply tag your favourite expert, so they can flag the Moderator to help you out, and the moderator will redirect your post to the best available agent.
- The conversation will occur in our community’s private messages as we value your privacy, considering, we’ll need some of your printers’ details to get you the reset codes that aim to solve your concern (in the new region).
- More details are available in one of our TKBs (Tribal Knowledge Base) created by one of our veteran experts @erico - Please click here to view the same
