Hi there @foreverstickers,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!  It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel.  I understand that you are seeing no signal on your display.  I am happy to help with this.

Please post the full product number and operating system in use on your mother's computer. See the following, if you need help with that information.  HP Desktop PCs - How Do I Find My Model Number, Serial Number or Product Number?  HP PCs - How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer

Have you tested the display with its cable connected to a different computer, and does it work on that connection, either VGA or DVI?

Does your mother's computer have a discrete graphics card installed, or is it using an integrated video?

Is there any message of any kind displayed on the monitor prior to it going to sleep?

Please let me know.

I have an HP 2211x monitor and I keep getting DVI and VGA no signal with DVI as default and the monitor promptly goes to sleep afterwards. I have a VGA cable, checked pins and connections. The monitor has been checked by a technician and it works with other pcs and the tower has been checked, cleaned and is running MS 7. Please help?
