HP Envy 17
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I ordered my custom laptop on 8/05/2021. It stated Shipment date of 9/02/2021, then I received a delay email of 10/02, And now another delay email estimated shipment date 10/06, but when I click order status I get an error page. I ordered this for school and school started over a month ago. Am I ever going to receive my product?

Yes, you will eventually get the product - that said, we cannot tell you "when".

One reason we cannot answer "When" is that we are not the HP Store, we not HP Support, and we not HP manufacturing.  We are a user community comprised of volunteers.

What can we say?

Frankly, CTO orders have always taken more time.

When the pandemic hit the planet, everything slowed WAY down... Add to that a world wide chip shortage and things slow down some more...Add to that the mess in many of the shipping ports where ships are piled up in the harbors waiting to be unloaded due to whatever is going on the docks... Add to that the shortage of truck drivers and trucks to move the products from the ship yards to the delivery centers.

It's a tough time to be a custom ordered "anything".

It's a tough time to be an "anything" that uses computer chips.

It is a touch time to be an "anything" that is not manufactured down the street from your house.

What to do?

No idea really - Hang tough, I guess.

Hope things don't get worse - Christmas is just around the corner and THAT slows down everything, too.

Rent something, beg something from a friend, buy an off-the-rack "something" from a local store to hold you over.

What else?

See if you can get any information from the HP Store Customer Service...

They might - or might not - be able to tell you anything useful.

There is a a lot of distance between ordering and the long "rest of the process" .
