My battery would not recharge, laptop is still under warranty for 26 more days. I sent it to HP and they received it Dec 14.2020 and gave me a date of Dec 28,2020 for delivery back to me. Then a few days later I receive an update that the date of delivery changed to Feb 12,2021.. The reason for the delay,,, waiting on parts. The parts being a battery and base enclosure. I checked HP store and they DO have the battery for my laptop in stock. The base enclosure is sold on many online stores and also in stock.. I dont understand why it would take two months for me to get my laptop back. I really though HP would do better than this, might be my last HP purchase

So I finally got a call from HP and was told I couldn't get the laptop back till Feb12,2021. They did offer me a full price back BUT with HP cards, (I do not want to purchase anymore HP products) or a prorated price for using it for a year,,, I told them just to send it back without replacing the battery, because I couldn't go that long without the laptop, and it was working great as long as I had it plugged in, even though I had a message that the battery was going bad. When I received it back it would not turn on, just a black/blank screen and the caps lock button would blink a white light three times.

I took my laptop to a computer repair. He said the RAM was not there,, HP repair center removed the ram. WTH He put in the RAM and still did not work, He is now reinstalling the operating system. I sent my laptop in to HP, a laptop that was in great working condition, for a simple battery replacement and get back a laptop with missing parts, Now I have a bill of $314 over HP I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau, A reputable business would reimburse me... Time will tell.
