Hi
Maybe a rescue disk?
https://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/rescuedisk
Maybe a repair disk from Microsoft?
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
http://www.thewindowsclub.com/install-windows-10-from-usb
If in doubt please ask.

Thanks CF4. I continually questioned the person and he, as his alias Shawn William, assured me that he was an HP respresentative. Have deleted what I can from my Mac after searching the web and am scanning for malware.
Was a newbie to this forum. Perhaps others can profit from my error.

The fake user sent a Private Message (click the envelope at the upper right when logged into the forum). THe HP system sends a copy of the message to your email of record. The scammer does not have your email, but the message is delivered by HP Support Forum <HP.Support.Forum@hp.com>, lending credence to its authenticity, (The email IS forwarded by HP, but the originator is not HP or associated with HP.
The forum notification has recently been changed so the messages will not be sent, users will receive a notification with the message title (typically HP Helpdesk for the fake messages). Users will need to visit the Private Message system where it may be more visible that the sender is NOt FROM HP.
I am not an employee of HP, I am a volunteer posting here on my own time.
