case issue

Seems like I am not the only one that has an issue with the case on my year and half old computer. The corner is coming up on the corner with the screw broke from the case I guess from using it so much this spring during lockdown. It has never been dropped but I am sure this is a flaw. I did contact hp support but was told it would cost almost what I paid for the computer. Anyone get an answer as to why this flaw has not been on a recall? I was hoping to be able to get it fixed. Will not buy another hp if not able to fix.
