Product Name: HP Envy 700-311 Desktop
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I purchased  a HP Envy 700-311 Desktop computer on January 6, 2015 with a one year warranty. On Sept 24, 2015, I received an e-mail from HP offering a 20% discount if I renewed my service contract at this time with a 3 year HP Care Pack purchase which I did. I have been told my HP that my 3 year Hp Care Pack expires on January 5, 2018.  I have inquired why was this back dated 9 months. I was told since I have a new computer that I was protected for that time by  this new HP Care Pack which I did not have during that time nor did I need it. No where was any mention of back dating the HP Care Pack.  If HP did not intend to honor a 3 year contact you should made it clear in the beginning. I'm very upset this process and frustated.
