Product Name: HP 15 Notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am starting a fresh post on this.

Thousands of people who upgraded to WIndows 10 discovered their PC would not enter/exit Sleep Mode.

If you close the lid or tap the power button, the screen goes blank and the WiFi LED goes from blue to orange.  The only way of waking the system is to shut the power off (hold power button until the WiFi LED comes on, causing a cold start.

Updating various drivers (especially Intel HD Graphics), BIOS, etc., seems to cause temporary relief, but after a short while the problem comes back. I have tried dozens of fixes over the past week. Some have no effect, some work for a short time.

Unfortunatly, HP appears to be ignoring the problem.

The most recent fix I tried is this (from http://www.windows10forums.com/threads/laptop-will-not-sleep.1732/)

Open Power Options > right side, click Change plan settings > click Change advanced power settings > scroll to and click the + sign in front of Multimedia settings > click the + sign in front of When sharing media > at On battery : click and select Allow the computer to sleep > at Plugged in : click and select Allow computer to sleep. > OK when done

My Notebook had been set to not allow sleep when sharing media.

This appears to have permanently fixed the problem, however, only time will tell.
