HP DesignJet T2600dr 36-in Multifunction Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

My plotter is running out of colour ink cartridges. I know that the plotter will stop working once any of the catridges becomes depleted. Since, I only plot black and white as well as grey prints only, I was wondering whether any option is there to set the printer to use only the black and grey catridges and to not take into consideration the ink levels in colour catridges. (Canon printers for home use has a similar function, that is why I am asking)

Likely not, for the reason that even though you may not print in colour, the machine performs normal print quality maintenance and to do that it uses some ink. Once an ink runs out there is the danger of air getting into the ink lines which will result in the requirement to perform several cleanings or even a purge cycle to remove the air.

It that setting exists it would be documented in the user guide downloadable from support.hp.com
