- Connect HP printer using 192.168.223.1 IP
Connect the printer with the Wireless Setup Wizard (printers without a touchscreen)
Temporarily connect your computer or mobile device to your printer's local network connection and then run the Wireless Setup Wizard from the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS).
-
Open the list of available network connections on your device.
Note: You can view the list of available networks in the Wi-Fi option of your device.
Select the network with HP=Setup <Your printer name> from the list, for example HP=Setup<EE_DeskJet 2700 series>, and then connect to the network. This connection is temporary and required to set up the network.
If your printer is not available in the list, restore the Wi-Fi setup mode. Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons until the Power button blinks, and then wait for the Wireless light to blink.
Open an internet browser, and then enter 192.168.223.1 in the address bar.
Note: If Your connection is not private message displays, click Show Advanced, and then Proceed to 192.168.223.1 (unsafe).
-
The Printer EWS opens.
-
Enter the PIN found on the label located inside the cartridge access area.
-
Click Network > Wireless > Wireless Setup Wizard > Next.
-
Select the name of your Wi-Fi network, and then enter the network password.
The printer connects to the Wi-Fi network, and the Wireless light stops blinking.
-
If you are using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection, disconnect the VPN.
-
Once the printer is connected to the network, you can add the printer to the HP Smart app. For more information, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).
