I bought a 1.5 year old T630 DesignJet 24I. It was working great up until it was shipped to me. In the 2 weeks since then, I have managed to print  only 2 images. I am using a pdf to print from.

Question 1) Do I have to tell it (through my printer settings on my laptop) that the image is a different size every time? The paper is always the same, 24" x whatever's left on the roll.

Question 2) The printer now refuses to admit I have a roll of paper installed. Last time I managed to print, I fed the paper in until I heard a little 'peep' sound, but this time it won't do that.

Question 3) How do I change to wifi? At the moment, I have it attached to a USB port. I cannot get the window on the front of the printer to respond to anything I do, it is not interactive. I'm beyond frustrated.

I have run the HP Print and Scan Dr., and it says everything is good.

I have to ask how you know it was working before it was shipped? How was it shipped? The inability to load paper would suggest that the paper sensor (OOPS) is defective, damage or simply knocked out of place. The lack of response from the control panel would indicate either a bad control panel or an issue with the main board or possibly corrupt firmware. A good first step would be to find a copy of the service manual online and perform a reset and firmware upgrade. If unable to do that check the manual to see if there is an emergency firmware upgrade procedure.

I know it was working before I bought it because I bought it from a friend. It was shipped from Alberta to Ontario by UPS, and I made it work once or twice. My problem seems to be with the display window at the front of the printer. Today, it admitted that I do have a roll of paper loaded, so if it's a sensor issue, it's intermittent - the worse type to track down! I am concentrating on the front display window, it will not respond to my input.

For example, I just plugged it in directly to a wall socket, as suggested. The window on top of the printer is the start up window, I believe. I have seen it before, but at the moment, I can barely see the "Paper Source' icon, the word 'Setup' is showing, but not the icon for it, and none of the small icons that belong across the top are visible.

Can I replace the module for the top print display window?

Display panel module part number is 5HB06-67002

I suggest that search online for the service manual for this model as that will provide troubleshooting steps as well as complete disassembly guides and part numbers.

I have the service manual, I'll go through it again, thank you.
