There is no option to print something with a bleed, is that correct?
The "borderless" option actually blows up your image and then trims vertically. Most, if not all designers do not want their images modified  in any way. However if I get a file with a bleed, there doesn't seem to be a way to print it and trim it correctly.
Am I doing something wrong?

Does our organization have the wrong driver?
Is the ability to print and trim with a bleed hidden behind a paywall?

Any clarification would be appreciated. Thanks.

The only way to print borderless while keeping scale is to use the HP DesignJet Z9(or Z6) 44in PDF V4 driver. (Technically, you could also print borderless and keep scale by saving a file to a usb drive and then plugging the drive into the DeskJet and print it using the printer's menu.)

IT says their print server doesn't allow driver installs. The software that would manage that is too expensive. So, the PDF V4 driver had to be installed locally on every machine in the department.

Is this a driver issue?
Current driver is HP DesignJet Z6dr 44in PS3 (61.194.11905.50).

Should I install the HPGL2 Driver?

Might be a media selection issue. According to this link, only 3 media types supported for border-less printing

Unfortunately, I have tried to change to the photo paper and still only have the option to print borderless with scaling up. Screenshot 2025-01-30 151202.png
