I've had a few run ins with this issue and found that a new cartridge only resolved the issue for a few weeks before being marked as bad(772 and 70 carts). I had one plotter that went through 3 or 4 LG carts before I finally pulled it from service. In this case, would the Ink Station be the most likely culprit? I currently have another one that is requesting 4 carts to be replaced and one(brand new one) to be reseated.
I've also looked all over for the service manual but haven't found a copy of it yet. I sure do miss the good old days when you could find a Designjet 800 service manual with a simple Google search

The problem in my opinion is in the ISS,one of the sensors is working bad. One solution is try to find a chip to install in the cables thatcomes from Main PCA to ISS and out of problem. This chip replace the ISS ink sensors. Try Aliexpress to find chip and that is it. Another solution is to take off all cartgs. and printheads, turn of printet with the back switch, disconnect powercable, wait for about two minutes, press on form control panel about10seconds to discharge potential energy from printer, reconect power cable, power on from the back switch, and install cartdridges and print heads only when printer promt you. Wait for Instalation and good luck.
another solution is to remove ISS from printer and clean deeply with contact cleaner, sensors and everything on the ISS and reinstallit again, this is a very good idea I used to do every time I get this problem and it Works

If you send me a thumb drive of approx 128gb and a list of manuals you need I will put them on that drive and send it back to you. I will give you my mailing address once you contact me we will go from there.
