I am having an issue with my canvas prints fading after only 4 months. I am printing on an HP DesignJet 500 using

Canon 42" x 40' Artistic Satin Canvas 350 gsm. The images are printing very well but as I mentioned they have faded drastically after only a short period of time. They have not been protected with any sealant or varnish so there is that....

I have used HP OEM Genuine Inkjet dye inks for this series of canvases and I'm wondering what type of protective coating should I use so that I can:

A) have the prints last

and

B) I would like to apply acrylic based paint layers over the ink imagery

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

There are many DIY videos on You tube on sealing canvas prints, including suggestions for which types of sealants to use.
