I mostly use my plotter for silk screening artwork and the vendor is having issues with what I am sending him.

See picture below. These horizontal breaks in the lines are causing issues with the quality of the silk screens produced.

I have done all the troubleshooting I can and will be scheduling a maintenance and cleaning service to eliminate that as an issue.

What I really want to ask here is, Is this normal for this plotter?  Do I need to invest in a higher quality plotter for my needs?

Thank you for any input. Mk

That looks like you have an issue with the black printhead. How do the troubleshooting and quality pages look? There should be no reason this unit cannot lay down solid black if the heads are working.

Repairatrooper,

Thank you very much for your reply.

It is doing it will all the printheads.   This is after changing the magenta head.  I did not have a new black printhead at that time.

Trouble shooting print.
