T2300

My DesignJetT2300 very often freeze after 1%. I have found out that by removing battery on the CN727-67035 formatter board the printer start up. Do I need the small 3V backup battery?

By the way, my plotter never sleep or turn off completely, even if the display indicate a complete shutdown. It sounds like a fan at the power supply (or aftmost left corner of the plotter ) is running constantly, even if the printer is "cold" and do not need to cool down.

Any ideas?
