Hi @HristoK
there is no guarantee about the the proper functionality of the printer when using expired cartridges, I will suggest you making sure that the printer is running the latest firmware, and if currently it is, then you have to replace the expired ones to use the printer.

Are the cartridges genuine HP or are they aftermarket refills? Some of the aftermarket refills have chip problems.
How much ink is left in the expired cartridges according to the front panel?
Exactly what error message does it present on the screen when it refuses to print?
I have a T770 that right now has three HP OEM expired cartridges and it continues to print reliably. The cartridges were brand new in-the-box but were about 5 years past expiration date. When inserted, the printer gave a warning about the expiration dates and intermittently flashes an X and the amount of remaining ink.
There may be other reasons why it's not printing but I haven't seen a model in that family of printers that won't print due to expired ink. I've had 4-5 machines that use the #72 ink supplies and have yet to run across one that wouldn't print due to expired ink cartridges.
