Designjet 800
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently acquired a used Designjet 800 plotter, which I am trying to run with Windows 10.

The printer itself seems to work fine, but when I attempt to run a print from "HP instant printing 3" it gets stuck on "render progress - printing file".

When I try to run a test print, I receive an error saying "Operation could not be completed (error 0x000000cb). The system could not find the environment option that was entered."

I downloaded and installed drivers from here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-designjet-800-printer-series/25302. I enabled "send job as bitmap" under troubleshooting.

I am by no means an expert - just the opposite actually, and I have spent the last week trying to get the printer up and running, reading through forums, and trying different solutions, but without success.

Did anoyone have succes with getting the Designjet 800 to work on a Windows 10 computer? All help is much appreciated.

Dear

you can install the windows 7  64 bit  or the 32 bit driver  depending on your Windows version it correspond

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL46226/pl-112185-1/hpdj510wx64glen.exe

download , extract  and add a printer as the good old way

  • Select “Start” and type “control.exe   then printers” in the search box.
  • Choose “Printers & scanners“.
  • Select “Add a printer
  • Wait for the “The printer that I want isn’t listed” option to appear, then select it.
  • Select “Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname” , then select “Next“.
  • Select “TCP/IP Device” in the “Device type” list.
  • Add the printer IP
  • Have a disk , browse for a driver  and indicate the place where you  extracted  the driver
  • Choose designjet  800  42 in
  • and print

if you need you can download a generic driver https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/win-x64-hpgl2-drv.zip

same procedure

good day  and if ok give me a feed back

Thank you
