I consider buying Designjet T120 for a small office, hence my question:
What is the durability of the printing head? (how many pages can be printed?)

With just about every hp designjet I have seen over the years, printhead life is never determined by the number of pages. There are just too many varibles. Unlike most designjets the T120 and T520 does not have separate printheads but is rather one unit and is replaced as such. I have not heard or seen any issues with the printhead on this model so I assume it will last many years. With most designjets lack of usage is the cause of most problems with printheads. Also not having the carriage assembly positioned over the service station causes issues. Example the belt has an issue so the plotter stops in the middle and the user does not call for or get the plotter fixed for over 2 weeks. This has a bad effect on the printhead(s) since they tend to dry out when not capped. Proper usage and a fairly constant usage of designjet keeps the printheads going for years. I have serviced many hp designjets where the printheads are over 10 years old and still working just fine. On the other hand I have serviced designjets where printheads go bad in less than a year with most of them in the later due to lack of usage. I also perfer for customers to leave their plotters on all the time. Less stress on the components since they go thru many electrical testing when first being turned on.
