Solved: Designjet T795 error 08:11 - HP Support Community

Hi everyone.

I have a designjet T795 stuck at 1%, after a couple minutes 08:11 pops up.

I've tried reseating the formatter, turn off and unplug the power for some minutes, update firmware with USB drive with no luck.

LED on the formatter are:

I: on

II: blinking random. some times stay on for 30 seconds or so

III: off

Listening carefully I can ear the HDD spinning wile the led "II" stays on, then HDD stop spinning and the LED goes OFF.

HDD or Formatter bad?

HDD failed it's a very common issue. You need to replace HDD with a new one for that printer model, you can't use an empty HDD, the firmware must be loaded on a new HDD.

While likely the harddrive, I have seen some unsubstantiated claims online that this is can be fixed by replacing the cmos battery on the formatter. As those are cheap and readily available I would try that first, but @Valsimot is correct that you must use the correct HP drive.
