Z3100
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Following previous advice from the commuity about Z2100 drivers for Windows 10, I installed the Win7 driver for my Z3100 and all seemed fine until I tried to turn on Application Managed Color - it looks like it works but when you close and re-open the printer setup it goes back to Priniter managerd. A similar effect ooccurs with ICM. It looks like this is a consequence of using a Win7 driver in Win10 and so therefore basically I can't use Photoshop or Qimage to drive my printer anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions? many thanks

Hi,

Any changes done to the Printing Preferences done from the aplication are temporary.

To make setting default, go to Devices and Printers right click on the printer and select Printing Preferences. Set your defaults and hit ok to save.

Best regards

Once more Mikeg81 to the rescue!

Thanks Mike - what puzzles me is that I've never had this issue with the driver setting instantly going back to default on either Win7 or XP.

Anyway, looks like the old girl will keep going a while longer!

What puzzles me is why HP don't just put: use the Win7 driver for Win10 and have some form of disclaimer - it would save everyone a lot of time and anguish!

All the best,

John
