I am using the z5200 for printing banners, posters, and other large print media from photoshop.

Red will not print correctly, and is often replaced with salmon-ish colors or brown.

Please advise 🙂

Hi,

Have you print the diagnostic page to look for any printhead issues?

Best regards

Yes sir, the diagnostic shows no issues that I can discern. Is there anything else that could cause this problem?

You have magenta or what ever red printhead problem....  try a new one.

Most Designjet printers were not smart enough to tell the bad printhead  right away . till users realized the  problem .

They fooled me many times from the past, included my DJ500    DJ800   Z2100   Z3100   Z3200 etc etc.

My Z3200 44" screwed me 2 days ago & no yellow and it said nothing.. wasted me lots of expensive canvas.

Oh I see. I wondered if anyone else was having this problem. I've wasted quite a bit of banner paper and adhesive due to this error as well so I feel your pain.

So you replaced the ink Magenta cartridge? What was your workaround?

Thanks!
