I just cannot scan an A3 document. And I cannot scan A4 correctly either (problem with orientation).

I duly checked that the 7740 scan-printer was able to deal with A3 (297mm x 420 mm), except for the automatic feeding which is limited to A4.

 

And I succeeded scanning and printing A3 !
The interface is very klunky : things are not well labelled so you don't understand what to choose ; the order of height and width differs depending on the window, length are in inches instead of metric...

 

Parameters that allow to scan A3 : A3 scan must be chosen AND same format for the output, automatic orientation or landscape, and it works !

 

HP support was awful, ignoring the question, and going down his script with no reflexion at all, making me download HP Doctor, and not using it after, and just letting me alone in the middle of nowhere.
