Make sure you have removed any drivers installed for the printer from:

- Devices and Printers

- Server Properties

- Registry

Hi - thanks for reply.

I'm not missing a print preview.

And the print series you listed is not the printer I have.

I have the DesignJet 500 42" plotter.  

What else could it be?  I have the driver downloaded. I have successfully printed to this printer from my (old) Mac.  I am doing everything the same, except now, nothing prints or it prints a blank sheet of paper. I'm wasting A LOT of this roller paper. Any other ideas?

I have the 510 Designjet which I downloaded some software to replace the GL/2 Accessory Card which worked fine until the last Windows 10 update we had to re install Windows from new & now cant find the software we used to use, is there anything available to run the 510 without the GL/2 ?

I figured out the issue.  There are 3 drivers that I needed to download for it to work. 

2 "Basic" drivers 

and the Software (HP Utility) driver. 

Once I installed all three my Mac with OS 10.12.8 is printing to the designjet 500.
