Welcome to HP Support Community, @Spectrum2000.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error message "THIS PRINTER IS NOT DESIGN CONTINUOUS INK SYSTEM" typically indicates that the printer has detected non-standard ink supply systems like third-party continuous ink systems, which are not officially supported by HP. To address this error with the HP DesignJet T-830 MFP, you can try the following steps:

Steps to Resolve Error:

  1. Revert to Original HP Cartridges: Ensure all ink cartridges installed are genuine HP cartridges. Remove any third-party continuous ink systems, as they may not be compatible with your printer and can trigger error messages.
  2. Reset the Printer: Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord. Wait for about 60 seconds, then reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.
  3. Check for Firmware Updates: Ensure your printer’s firmware is up-to-date. Go to the HP Support website and check if there is a newer firmware version for your printer model.
  4. Check for Printer Settings: Sometimes, resetting the printer to its default factory settings can resolve the error. Check your printer’s manual or display settings for the option to reset to default settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
