Our printer has been making some interesting sounds lately and so I did some looking through the info on the Web Server and found this:

Service Maintenace Kit #1     3%

Service Maintenace Kit #2    0%

Service Maintenace Kit #3    12%

We just replaced the maintenance cartridge and it says it is at 100%.

Is this something I need to be worried about?

What do these Kits do and what are the part numbers for them?

From the looks for the service manual, those counters go from 0 to 100%, so your kits appear to be very low usage. These are technician installed kits that replace common wear items.  If you are getting noise it could be a dry/dirty carriage rod.

If you find the information provided useful or solves your problems, help other users find the solution easier by giving kudos and marking my post as an accepted solution.

Our carriage rod lubrication is at 12%

At what point would you suggest cleaning and relubricating it?

Also in the manual, it says to clean the rod with 95% Ethanol, we have a barrel of 90% Ethanol at our plant, would there be anything wrong with using that instead?
