I had an error message error 42:10. I replace the scan axis motor. But the error persisted. Could be be due to new updates or lack of updating the printer firmware

Model number? There are sometimes known issues with particular devices so cannot answer accurately without a model number.

The printer in question is HP Designjet T520 36"
