Designjet T1100ps 44 inch
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We are getting error 81:03 messages in the middle of multi page pdf print jobs.

Our current firmware version is: TJ6-TAJ6_6.0.0.4

Do we need to upgrade the firmware? If yes, where do I find the current version for download?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

81:03 is an error with your Media Advance.  You can try to restart the printer, power down at the back and unplug the power cord.  While powered  down and unplugged hold the power button at the front panel for 10-15 seconds.

This can sometimes clear an error that is logged in the main boards and will not clear.

To search for FW go to... HP.com -> Support Tab -> Enter your printer info.

The T1100 it is an obsolete printer, so HP has stopped putting out recent versions of FW and getting parts through them will be difficult since they no longer suppport this model printer.

I would recommend looking into a new plotter, using an HP Rebate for the T1100 should get ya a nice discount on the new machine.

Hope this helps.
