Same issue here, since the Windows 10 update I get that error, and I cannot print anything form CAD apps. The plotter is connected through ethernet and I do not have any other windows 7 pc to use for print. Only win 10 computers.

Although, instant print works fine, but it is useless for cad files.

We cannot throw away a working plotter just for old drivers. Please help us

Solution found:

This issue is caused by the windows updates:

KB4557957 for windows 2004

KB4560960 for windows 1909 and 1903

KB4561608 for windows 1809

KB4561621 for windows 1803

KB4561602 for windows 1709

KB4561605 for windows 1703

KB4561616 for windows 1607

You can simply uninstall the update for now in update and security - update history - uninstall update

you can find more informations here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4560960/windows-10-update-kb4560960

Microsoft is working on a patch

We also have a Designjet 800 and the last windows update gave us the same issue starting last week. However my machines will not let me uninstall all of the windows 10 updated listed in the previous post. Specifically the KB4560960 update. Guess we are waiting for microsoft to fix their botched update.

I uninstalled the updates we had that were on the list. But it still did nothing for our printer.

same here, uninstalled the listed updates. but still no printing

So I spoke too soon. I restarted the computer after uninstalling the updates. I didn't figure that would do anything because it was wanting to restart to install updates. But I tried to print after it finished and I didn't get any errors and it started printing!

HP Recommended

Yes, if you uninstall an update you must restart afterwards!

Glad it worked!

Can anybody test fix for 1903+1909 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4567512/windows-10-update-kb4567512 ?

All my computers are already b2004.
