HP DesignJet T830 36-in Multifunction Printer

Hello,
I am facing an issue with my HP DesignJet T830. The printhead is not being recognized, even after multiple attempts at reseating it and cleaning the contacts.

The printhead has already been replaced with a new one. Additionally, both the mainboard and the board in the printhead carriage area have been replaced. Unfortunately, none of these measures have resolved the issue, and the error message still persists.

I would greatly appreciate any support or suggestions to resolve this problem.

Thank you!

Was printhead failure the initial problem or did it fail while replacing? Did you remove the printhead using the proper procedure? Removing printhead without using the printhead removal routine on the control panel can damage the electronics in the system.

Hello,

the print head failed several times during operation. We had to turn the plotter off and on again, and then the plotter worked again. We then replaced the print head twice with a new one, but the error could not be fixed. Our dealer then recommended that we replace the mainboard. We did that too. However, the print head error persisted.

We then bought a new plotter and wanted to keep the old plotter as a reserve. Since the new plotter also had problems, an HP service technician came. He advised us to replace the print head board for the old plotter. However, after replacing the board, the error was still there.

Was there a numeric error code with the printhead warning?

The tech that advised you obviously did not consult the service manual for this product. The recommended steps to follow in the case of a printhead failure is to replace the printhead and if the error persists, replace the carriage and trailing cable.

Unfortunately, no error code was displayed on the screen. However, this is listed in the error list ...
Error 24/25
Code: 0027-0059
Sequence id: 59
Occurences: 23

I have not replaced the cable yet.
