Product: HP Designjet 500 42
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

anyone have any ideas when my HP Designjet 500 42 isnt printing, using windows 10 64 bit, ACAD doesn't recogonise the printer and it wont print a PDF. Not impressed that HP isnt support this!

Have you checked the AutoCAD website?  They sometimes have drivers that are made for the older "legacy" printers like yours.  The 500 is a pretty old printer by now but you should be able to use it with AutoCAD.  What driver are you using now?  You might try going to the HP Support page and find the driver for Windows 7 or even Vista or XP and try that one.  The driver that Windows 10 loads sometimes doesn't work correctly.  Manually load the driver from HP and see if you get better results.

 

I know from experience that it's difficult sometimes to get AutoCAD to recognize the printers, especially the older models.  But it can be done.

 

Let us know what happens.
