I'm looking for anyone else that may be experiencing HP SmartTracker issues of any kind for the HP Pagewdie XL series printers. I have noticed there are little to no forum support resources available online, so trying to find others that are having problems.
In my case, we have a new setup of a HP XL4100 printer and we are trying to use the SmartTracker system to capture accounting data. We have had a low frequency, but highly disruptive issue with SmartTracker being unresponsive on the client printing side. I do have active support going on through my dealer and HP, but thought I would post here as well to see if others are experiencing problems and also to discuss possible solutions.

Curious if you found a solution and what it may have been. We just installed our PW XL 4100 last week and working on getting SmartTracker up and running. At this time we are only able to print with SmartTracker from one PC in the office.

I figured out through a process of elimination that the systems that had the issue with the SmartTracker Add-on, the software that pops up the accounting box when users print, all had hyper-threading disabled on their Intel processors. I re-enabled hyper-threading in their bios and the problem went away. I know that sounds odd, and I have no idea why their hyper-threading was even disabled, but it fixed the problem and I could repeat the problem by turning hyper-threading off again. Why the HP add-on would even be sensitive to that is beyond me.
We also had SmartTracker (ST) licensing issues when we did the ST install, so if you are having problems with that let me know. HP’s instructions for doing the licensing did not work, so my dealer had to use a deprecated method to license it.
