When i load a 34" wide roll the printer does nothing. No errors, no autofeed, nothing. Works perfect when I load a 36" roll. I have made copies onto a 34" roll and it worked fine before. Any reason why it does nothing now??

I was going to suggest that you check the service station to see if the printhead was leaking ink but I would expect that all paper sizes would be a problem, not just 34". Any chance your roll is not wound properly and so fails to make contact with the paper path sensor? Is the actual core 34" or 36 inches? I have seen some paper roller onto a wider core and then fail to trip the load sensor.

Thanks for responding!! So the core is 2"x34" or 36" wide. I was wondering if the sensor is at the far end of the feeder since in the case of the 34" paper it wouldn't extend far enough to trigger it. But then I figured the sensor is probably in the center if the feeder..right?
I was also wondering if since my plotter is a HP DesignJet T830 36-in Multifunction Printer that for some reason the paper needs to be 36" but in everything I've read it will take a 11" roll up to 36"... or am I wrong?
I thought maybe the paper needs to be centered but there is no way to center it on the roll holder rod thing. I'm out of ideas so if you can think of anything else I would greatly appreciate it. Ihave a 50 page plan set x3 copies coming up and I don't really want to cut the 36" paper down to 34".
Thank you!
