David:
thanks for your advice & will try as you said. I rather replace whole carriage box & I have one extra . Becuse
those tiny cables were not too easy to handle with.
(( follow up your message about 2 months ago )
by the way, I repaired a dj4500 scanner & bought the lamp from Lowes. it was 32 watts & original lamp was 36 watts,
no big deal & I fully calibrate the scanner successfully.
$11 had change for pack of 2. made by GE.

David:
not that easy to replace the carriage box pca board :
first they were very tight to remove those tiny ribbon cables, even I did gently push down the tiny plastic.
Once those tiny cables were removed & I could never be able to insert them back properly.
those ribbon cables edge were little soft & never tight.
=============
Checked the HP part store & new carriage assembly price was way high I could afford.
but I ordered 2 brand new , unuse carriage box from other country & they are on the way......
===========
After this hard lesson & I learned, never buy used carriage boxes on Ebay or other sites, mostly had errors on pca board.
I have 4 of them & they were useless to me.

Finally after I replaced with a new carriage box & now the printer is working perfectly. I shutted it off & turned on few times. solid like a rock. Color calibration & printhead alignment went fine.
at the begining , I got 87:10 error, then I google it & error related with encorder strip & it was
right side curl enter the hole was not perfecctly aligned. So I moved it little & 87:10 disappeared,
2 machines with 01.1:10 & other one with 79:04 with no PC connected or whenever loaded paper & error
came right up. I suspect was the carriage box, because error came up exactly same moment as 02.1:10.
will post after I worked on it.

I am receiving the same 02.1:10 error on a T1100. A local authorized dealer replaced all the componets HP recommended including the main board, trailing cable, carriage, and the board with the hard drive. None of this solved the problem which makes me think the 2600 dollars spent was unnecessary. The trailing cable was checked three times to make sure it was properly seated and free to move about. In every forum I have seen, no solution appears past this point. The local dealer gave up.
Certianly there is a fix out there. There is nothing binding the carriage, diagnosticts fail at the carriage.

Hi everyone,
I had another look at my own Z3100 yesterday but the issue is still not resolved may need to spend a bit more time trying to get to the problem. I can only say why should anyone need a new carriage box at $285 or US$1200 when my printer had no real problems before the printer belt was replaced.
I will try to post again if Iget it sorted but I had to send A1 printing to a local print provider.
Regards

My Z3200 was working perfectly & suddenly red led came up & no longer working.
I wish not to spend any money & had the printer fixed.
Post your update if you fixed it & I am looking forward to hear any new hint to fix error 02.1:10

I am sure that you need to either reseat trailing cable or even replace it because that is cheapest part in line.
I just got Z3200 with same error "error 02.1.10 FAIL pens voltage out of limit". And it’s not accepting three print heads on right side of carriage. Its cycling them randomly. Therefore, as trailing cable is not actually one cable because it will be too wide, they pack two flat cables as one. I am sure that one of them is not ok. Therefore, I am ordering trailing cable just now.
Just a thought...
And yes, cables are really fragile and thin. Be very careful while fitting them back. It can "unglue" contact surface from plastic and render cable useless.
I hope it will help someone.
Kind regards.
